Qaadir Isaam Amin II better known by his stage name “JTP”, which is an abbreviation for Jay Tha Prince, is an American hip-hop recording artist, songwriter and entrepreneur from Tallulah, Louisiana. Qaadir grew up in a one-parent household with his mother and three brothers. Linda Day, Qaadir’s mother is credited for the inspiration of his stage name, “Jay Tha Prince”, as she would call him her "Lil Black Prince”. Qaadir’s passion for music started early in his adolescence and by the age of thirteen he was writing complete songs, but it wasn’t until the loss of his cousin who was murdered on the eve of Christmas in 1996 that he would gain a new perspective and be inspired by the loss to take his craft serious and to the next level. At the age of 19 JTP left Tallulah, Louisiana with a goal of becoming an established hip-hop artist. His brother Zakee Amin introduced JTP to Hennessy, who was the founding member of the group...
