Qaadir Isaam Amin II better known by his stage name “JTP”, which is an abbreviation for Jay Tha Prince, is an American hip-hop recording artist, songwriter and entrepreneur from Tallulah, Louisiana. Qaadir grew up in a one-parent household with his mother and three brothers. Linda Day, Qaadir’s mother is credited for the inspiration of his stage name, “Jay Tha Prince”, as she would call him her "Lil Black Prince”. Qaadir’s passion for music started early in his adolescence and by the age of thirteen he was writing complete songs, but it wasn’t until the loss of his cousin who was murdered on the eve of Christmas in 1996 that he would gain a new perspective and be inspired by the loss to take his craft serious and to the next level. At the age of 19 JTP left Tallulah, Louisiana with a goal of becoming an established hip-hop artist. His brother Zakee Amin introduced JTP to Hennessy, who was the founding member of the group 5150 Cavi that he would soon become a member of.
JTP was ¼ of a local Las Vegas rap group known formally as 5150 CAVI. The group had a short-lived run, due to members of the group serving prison sentences. In 2013, JTP was forced to presume his rap career alone, thus deciding to take a different approach to his career. JTP envisioned an empire that would help other talented striving artist to achieve their goals in the music industry. The label would consist of producers, songwriters, directors and music artists. JTP credits his structure from other music professional influences such as Jay Prince (RAP-A-LOT), Baby and Slim (CASH MONEY), T.I. (GRAND HUSTLE), Master P (NO LIMIT) Chad Newton (SOUTHERN FRIED MARKETING) and 50 Cent (G-UINT). From that he would create a new Entertainment company, MM2MM Ent., abbreviated for “Make Moves 2 Make Money” which would be the foundation that would soon house artists, including himself, writers and producers.
JTP also known as Jay Tha Prince is still writing his story. JTP is currently working on his next project scheduled to release in February titled “Feel Like It’s My Time” and recently released his first single “Got Dam!” ft. Juvenile
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPx1AhvOCms),as well as featured tracks from Kevin Gates and Lil’ MothaF Ronny. JTP is charging ahead with more knowledge and wisdom and a deeper understanding of the music Industry, and plans to grow his label, “MM2MM ENT” to a new level of Southern hip hop, leaving a legacy that can’t be forgotten.
