Deep Roots of Rock: Making Rock Relevant Again

Friday, March 20
3:30PM - 4:30PM

Austin Convention Center
Room 13AB
Austin Convention Center

Rock & Roll used to scare the crap out of people. It was raw. It was new. It was Negro. Audiences started integrating, turning rock into a platform for sex and drugs, creating a counter culture. Today rock has corporate sponsorship and is no longer allowed to scare anybody or say anything. What happened? How has the taming of the genre changed us? How can today's musicians reclaim the spirit of Rock & Roll?
