In 2014, China already is the world's largest Internet, mobile, smartphone and e-commerce market. Yet, the Great Firewall has essentially created a world of two Internets – with most people outside of China unfamiliar with the Chinese web.
Furthermore, there are often misconceptions around China's capacity for creativity – Chinese technology companies are not just derivative clones of US companies. Rather, they are pioneering indigenous innovations and unique business models that focus first at home, and increasingly abroad.

Justin is a partner at Pacific Technology Ventures, a US-China technology investment firm. Previously, Justin was the co-founder and CEO of Scoop St., a pioneer in social e-commerce, where he led the business through its ultimate acquisition by Gilt. Previously, Justin managed business development and US market entry strategy for Tencent Holdings, China's largest Internet company. He began his career in technology investment banking at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong. Justin graduated with honors from Georgetown University with a B.S. in International Economics. Justin is an adviser to First Growth Venture Network. He is also a founder and organizer of Hackers + Founders, an invitation-based entrepreneurship organization with over 3,500 members since its inception in 2009.Hide the rest
