Latin@s in Tech was a sold out one-day by-invitation gathering for over 100 leaders throughout tech. Having advocated for and worked on getting more Latin@ participation at SXSWi for years, Kety Esquivel, Principal of Esquivel McCarson Consulting, organized this first of its kind event in 2014 with the Kapor Center for Social Impact to help further the increased participation by Latinos and Latinas in SXSWi as well as the industry as a whole. This panel brings together the people responsible for organizing the Latin@s in Tech Summit as well as others like it throughout the U.S. to explore what has been accomplished, where we are at present and what can be done to bridge the gap between the possibility of Latin@s involvement in Tech and Innovation and the reality. The panel will provide concrete solutions to help move this issue forward.
