Before you put that iPad into a pair of tiny hands, have you discussed with your children and family best practices for staying safe online? In this core conversation, experts will lead a group discussion about educating kids about privacy and Internet safety at home, at school, and in the community. Author Janell Burley Hofmann and the Center for Identity’s Katie Stephens will highlight the techniques and tools each community outlet employs to teach kids. Discuss family social contracts and suggested reading for parents. Learn about the Center’s curriculum module, game, community outreach, and online efforts. Share your experiences to help empower other attendees to continue this conversation in their communities, to help protect all children online.
