Though it may sound trite, as more of our intimate data makes its way onto easily stolen mobile devices, public clouds and shared networks, criminals, cops and corporations can now monitor your every move more efficiently than before. As the next billion global citizens log on to participate in the online economy, it’s important to ask: is privacy a fundamental human right, or a luxury for those who can afford it? With Europe passing the "right to be forgotten," privacy is a truly global issue. This presentation will explore the intersection of privacy, policy and technology.
