Disruptive Innovators Under Attack
Are disruptive entrepreneurs and companies like Uber, Airbnb and Quantified Self devices offering consumers innovative and highly personalized services and products they demand and love with legacy businesses refusing to adapt and compete fairly? Or are we instead facing an innovators dilemma in an age of digital health, drones, under-insured drivers and hospitality, and compromised privacy?
Leveraging the power of technology, cutting-edge business models are challenging the status quo. But how can businesses – and the regulators that control them – best adapt and respond to both the opportunities and potential challenges these models and technologies bring?
Focusing on the future of Digital Health, broadcast, transportation and drones, we’ll drill down on these issues and also debate and deconstruct the role of legislative process and stricter government regulations versus free market competition in allowing and supporting innovation. Kevin O'Malley will moderate.
