The Flavr Blue
The Stranger calls The Flavr Blue “one of the most curious and interesting bands in Seattle." The independent electronic trio – comprised of Hollis, Parker and Lace - pull from a vibrant musical spectrum of house, R&B, alternative rock and pop to create sophisticated recordings and a memorable live experience, with surprising instrumentation, passionate vocal performance, and dazzling visual effects. The Seattle Weekly says their “genre-bending, vibe-y electro-pop is one of the freshest, most danceable things coming out of Seattle at the moment,” and their latest EP Bright Vices is recorded proof. Complex says Bright Vices “explores new and exciting soundscapes,” and Esquire praises the group’s “catchy beats, stunning breakdowns, and beautifully soaring vocals.” Additionally, Hollis has received a great deal of recognition for her work on the latest Macklemore & Ryan Lewis hit "White Walls," on which she supplies the song’s infectious chorus.
