Omosumo

7397

Omosumo is a three-piece hailing from Palermo, Sicily, in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea.

Their powerful sound impact splashes the electronic rhythms on analog basslines, the sound of the Italian language, 70ies riffs of Led Zep and Krautrock, embraced by stories of esotericism and Sicilian shamanism. Africa's presence resounds in Tuareg and Qawwali rhythms, shaken up by acid house, featuring a furious vocalist, sublime and unattainable.

Their first EP has been produced with Grammy-winning Mario McNulty (David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails, Philip Glass): "Ci proveremo a non farci male"
consists of 4 tracks of wild enthusiasm and fragile beauty.

Behind the name Omosumo are three brilliant musical minds of Sicily today: the grey eminence, virtuous vocalist and talented young Electronica musician Angelo Sicurella, the guitar playing of granitic Robert Cammarata, already travelled far and wide his psych-blues outfit Waines and the elastic bass lines of Antonio Di Martino, renowned as Dimartino, one of the Italy's top-notch new generation songwriters.
On stage, the trio-lineup, from time to time, is enriched and helped by guests on additional instruments as live-keys, samples, percussions, visuals, performances.

Recently, Omosumo published "Remixes EP", a collection of remixes of their songs remixed by some of the most interesting names of the Italian electronic scene: Crimea X, Tempelhof, Marvin & Guy, RotaryDisco76, italian artists of extensive experience and international publications.
