The Lumiphonic Creature Choir is a pioneering multimedia work in which a giant twelve-headed audio-visual creature is controlled and interacted with in real-time by on-stage performers.

It is a multimedia band that combines live vocals with interactive technology, projection-mapped visuals and performance.

At the centre of the work is a giant twelve-headed audio-visual instrument that the musicians and performers interact with through a variety of custom-designed MIDI interfaces. Each of the heads also exhibits low-level AI and different modes of behaviour so that, in effect, the musicians are improvising with a “sentient” twelve-headed virtual creature.
