Connected TVs & the Future of Sports Entertainment

#sxsw #Sports SXsports

Best known for its broadcast graphics like the bright yellow 1st and 10 line for football and strike-zone box in baseball, Sportvision has been instrumental in changing the ways fans watch sports while creating the next generation of sports entertainment.
Building on that innovation, the company is now turning to data as part of an effort to bring professional athletics into the information age by capturing a complete digital record of a game.
The data being collected by Sportvision has the potential to take the sports viewing experience to the next level by allowing fans to play along with games in real time.
For example, imagine trying to see if you can hit a Mariano Rivera cut fastball or beat Dale Earnhardt Jr. at the Daytona 500? Sportvision can do this by customizing the experience through live-gaming that can cater to a younger audience.
The purpose of the panel is to address sports in the future. This session is part of the brand new SXsports programming at SXSW 2014.
