This Isn’t Your Mom’s Way of Raising a Round

#sxsw #vcfunding

Just like your mother told you, venture capital doesn’t grow on trees. But, at the same time, it’s not impossible to find either. You just have to look for it in the right places and with the right tools and goals.
Looking for venture capital can be daunting, which is why it’s important to really look at the landscape and realize that the times… they are a-changin’. Self-funding and creating a customer advisory board are now VC museum relics.
It’s time to be more focused and targeted when it comes to seeking investors. Whether it’s using new digital funding tools like SeedInvest and Kickstarter, or targeting specific investors online, it’s never been more important to be selective in the VC process. Join Stacey Bishop, venture partner at Scale Venture Partners and Demandbase CEO and founder Chris Golec as they explain how to navigate venture capital funding of today.
