Interaction Design for the Post-Screen World
In the next few years, as wearable technology gets more powerful and sensor capabilities explode, smartphone screens are going to become less and less central to our digital lives. Our devices will stop forcing us to look down and away from the world around us. They will stop feeling separate from our intuitive, everyday interactions. In this short talk, I'll highlight cutting-edge work that offers a whiff of this new era. I'll also summarize the most difficult challenges that designers will face. For example, how do designers use user-data effectively to create seamless interactions which don't feel scary? How can designers start thinking about bonafide eco-systems of products?
