What's New in Fantasy Sports

#sxsw #newfantasy SXsports

Fantasy Sports long ago became "mainstream" for several reasons--technology that enabled fantasy leagues to rapidly expand online, fans never ending appetite for more information on their favorite sports, and pro sports leagues embrace the industry which gave the industry a "Good Housekeeping" seal of approval. Now, because fans want to get more involved with their favorite sports, the fantasy sports industry continues to evolve and expand to provide more options for sports fans. Companies such as the NFL, NBC/Comcast, ESPN and USA TODAY Sports have all either recently entered the fantasy sports marketplace or expanded their offerings in the fantasy sports space. This panel will discuss many of the new technologies, apps and products being launched in the fantasy space, including the evolution of daily gaming, which is now the fastest growing segment in the fantasy sports business. This session is part of the brand new SXsports programming at SXSW 2014.
