The show that's turned a living room into one of Los Angeles' hottest stages takes it first trip outside state lines to present this SXSW showcase.

Comedy Living Room is a live stand-up comedy show held monthly in the living room of die-hard comedy fans and roommates, Matt Lottman and Frank Chad Muniz. What started out as an open mic amongst friends has quickly become one the most unique comedy experiences in LA, bringing in anywhere from 100-150 audience members each month. In its first year Comedy Living Room was named one of the 13 hottest places to see comedy in LA by The Hollywood Reporter. With their intimate atmosphere and A-list lineups, Comedy Living Rooms prides itself on giving people a live comedy experience that could rival any club in town!

Presenters

Adam Cayton-Holland

Adam Cayton-Holland was recently named one of Esquire’s 25 Comics to Watch. He has appeared on Conan, ABC’s Happy Endings, and was featured on the Nerdist and Sklarbro County podcasts. Cayton-Holland has also performed at the Montreal Just For Laughs, Bridgetown Comedy and Rooftop Comedy festivals, and recently launched his own comedy festival in Denver, The High Plains Comedy Festival. His monthly show and web series The Grawlix is a critically-lauded darling child that you should know and love, and they recently filmed a pilot for Amazon Studios called Those Who Can’t. Adam also has a podcast, My Dining Room Table.

Byron Bowers

Originally from Atlanta now living in LA, Byron Bowers is a stand-up comedian and actor that appears regularly at The Comedy Store, The Comedy and Magic Club, The Hollywood Improv, and The Nerdist Theater.

He won the Big Sky International Comedy Competition, Uncle Clyde’s Comedy and the Ultimate Laff-Down XVI Competitions, and was a Boston Comedy Festival Semi-Finalist.
He has appeared on “The Eric Andre Show” on Adult Swim
Byron was also featured as New Face at the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival.

His stand-up performances include Comedy Central’s new series “ dam Devine’s House Party”, BET’s "Comic View".

Chris Gethard

Chris Gethard is a writer, actor, and comedian living in New York City. A mainstay performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, he has performed at the Just for Laughs festivals in both Montreal and Chicago, at South by Southwest, and at various colleges and theaters throughout the United States. He was named one of Variety’s Ten Comics to Watch in 2010, and has told stories on This American Life.

Chris was a guest writer at Saturday Night Live. He was also an original writer on The Onion News Network, which launched its online platform with a sketch he wrote that was written about in The New York Times. He also sold a pilot to Comedy Central.

Chris is the creator and host of The Chris Gethard Show, a variety and talk show that began as a stage show at UCB before becoming a weekly live public access show during the summer of 2011. The show has a fervent cult following, and is known for staging amazing stunts such as using a Twitter campaign to book Sean “Diddy” Combs as a guest on the show. Chris also once granted a young fan the night of her life by devoting an entire episode to her and booking all of her favorite celebrities. The Chris Gethard
Show has been written about in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, New York Magazine, The Hollywood Reporter, and dozens of other publications. Chris has also promoted the show as a guest on both Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and Conan.

Chris is the author of the book A Bad Idea I’m About to Do, named one of the Huffington Post’s ten books to read for the month of January upon its publication in early 2012. He is also the author of the book Weird NY, and the co-author of Weird NJ volumes one and
two, Weird US, and Weird VA.

As an actor, you can see Chris this summer in Iron Man 3, and later this year opposite Mila Kunis and Robin Williams in The Angriest Man In Brooklyn. Chris can also be seen in multiple episodes of the final season of NBC’s The Office.

Drennon Davis

From his elaborate characters and impressions, to his provocative songs and animation, Drennon is quickly making a name for himself as one of the most innovative young minds in today’s comedy scene. His performances of festival favorite the Imaginary Radio Program combine live-looped songs and beat-boxing with one-man sketches and array of hilarious special guests into a show that the Los Angeles Comedy Bureau writes "not only lives up to its name, but exceeds expectation in what you could possibly think it is."

Karen Kilgariff

The Pete Holmes Show

Karen Kilgariff is a writer, actress, comedian and musician. She was a cast member of HBO's Mr. Show, served as head writer for The Ellen DeGeneres Show from 2003-2008 and is currently the head writer of The Pete Holmes Show. Her new comedy music album Live at The Bootleg is available on iTunes.

Nate Bargatze

Nate Bargatze has had two late night appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, four appearances on Conan and had his own Comedy Central Presents in 2011. He has written for Spike TV's Video Game Awards and received critical acclaim at the Montreal Comedy Festival multiple years. When he isn't winning comedy festivals in both New York and Boston, or performing at Bonnaroo or on tour with Jimmy Fallon's Clean Cut Comedy Tour, he might just be performing for troops in Iraq, which he has done five times. His debut comedy album "Yelled at by a Clown" reached #1 on the iTunes comedy charts. Nate was also featured as one of Esquire's Best New Comedians, as one of Marc Maron's comedians to watch in Rolling Stone and in Paste Magazine, and as one of the 10 Comedians Who Deserve Their Own TV Show on CoolMaterial.com.

Sean O'Connor

After starting his stand-up career in New Jersey, Sean O'Connor moved to New York and quickly became one of the city's favorite new comics and was featured in the NY Post as one of "New York's Top 20 Comics to Watch." Sean is working on a pilot for MTV, as well as developing his webseries "Sean & Meghan" for TV through Freemantle Media. In addition, Sean is writing and producing five original shorts for Atom films. He was recently a staff writer on "Sports Show with Norm MacDonald" on Comedy Central.
