The Grawlix


The Grawlix is a live comedy show featuring Adam Cayton-Holland, Andrew Orvedahl and Ben Roy that incorporates stand-up, videos and sketch comedy, all sprinkled with occasional bickering. Based out of Denver, the Grawlix has traveled all over the country telling lies to audiences and has appeared in such illustrious comedy festivals as Bridgetown, Riot LA, NY Comedy Festival, the High Plains Comedy Festival and SXSW. They Grawlix also has a web-series of the same name at funnyordie.com/thegrawlix and created and starred in a popular Amazon pilot called "Those Who Can't." Between them the three members of the Grawlix have an abundance of TV credits and accolades, while together they have far fewer. It's the source of a lot of tension. Adam Cayton-Holland

Adam Cayton-Holland was recently named one of Esquire’s 25 Comics to Watch. He has appeared on Conan, ABC’s Happy Endings, and was featured on the Nerdist and Sklarbro County podcasts. Cayton-Holland has also performed at the Montreal Just For Laughs, Bridgetown Comedy and Rooftop Comedy festivals, and recently launched his own comedy festival in Denver, The High Plains Comedy Festival. His monthly show and web series The Grawlix is a critically-lauded darling child that you should know and love, and they recently filmed a pilot for Amazon Studios called Those Who Can’t. Adam also has a podcast, My Dining Room Table.


Andrew Orvedahl

Andrew Orvedahl is a stand-up comedian, writer, and actor from Denver, Colorado. He is 1/3 of the comedy group The Grawlix.


Ben Roy

Ben Roy is one of the fastest up-and-coming comics that the Denver scene has to offer. Recently featured in the book ‘Mock Stars: Indie Comedy and the Dangerously Funny’, alongside comedy greats Patton Oswalt, Maria Bamford, and Fred Armisen, author John Wenzel described him as, ‘gloriously erratic, mixing Louis Black’s quivering indignation with Bill Hicks’ vitriol and David Cross’s unapologetic misanthropy.” The Onion A.V. Club said “he’s like a skinny, punk-rock Sam Kinison.”


Matt Braunger

Matt Braunger was raised in Portland, OR. A headlining comedian since 2007 and an actor since childhood, Matt's comedy has appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show, Conan, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,and Live at Gotham. He is a regular panelist on "Chelsea Lately" and Comedy Central's "@Midnight." Matt's half-hour special on Comedy Central was released in 2009, and his hour special, "Shovel Fighter," was released in 2012. In 2008 he won "Best of the Fest" at the Rooftop Festival in Aspen and in 2009 he was named to Variety's "Top 10 Comics to Watch." He has released two albums, "Soak Up the Night" and "Shovel Fighter." Matt has performed at a variety of prestigious comedy festivals including the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal and Chicago, SXSW, Bumbershoot, and in 2007 he co-founded the Bridgetown Festival in Portland, OR. Matt's television credits include a recurring role on NBC's "Up All Night," a series regular on "Mad TV," and roles on "The Michael Fox Show," "Happy Endings," HBO's "Family Tree" "Blue Mountain State," "The United States of Tara," and "Pushing Daisies."
