Western Medicine
Listen to Big City
Western Medication formed in December 2011 in Nashville, TN. After sticking Justin Landis with hundreds of acupuncture needles, his doctor warned him in a thick Chinese accent, “No more western meds!” A decade of masking symptoms and playing in Nashville’s punk scene had brought Landis to a tipping point. He flushed his ailments sans deductibles, made a rhythm section out of Bad Cop’s Adam Moult and Kevin Kilpatrick, and Alycia Wahn from Useless Eaters, and molded a refreshing southern take on post-punk. It’s the coolness of Wire with the veracity of The Damned. Western Medication will release The Painted World, their debut 7” record, via Jeffery Drag Records on January 29th.
