Legend has it that Marteria, a vital fixture in the German rap scene these days, had Kid Simius flown in from Spain just because he was eager to lay down some tracks with him. As a matter of fact, however, Jose moved to Berlin to fulfil his dream of becoming a downright excellent musician. To this day, the Granada-born artist has graced the stages of many venues and festivals as part of the Marsimoto crew. Besides having produced tracks for Marsimoto, Kid Simius also released two solo EPs in 2010 and 2012 (“Who The Fuck Is Kid Simius” and “El Classico”). Both have long since sold out – for obvious reasons. Kid Simius is the answer to the question of how to recycle a trend and turn it into a unique form of expression – ergo the proper building blocks of a long-lasting career. He skilfully combines dubstep with bass-laden sounds and live elements. During his shows, the 'one man band' equally impresses by mastering multitasking techniques. From his dance floor expertise to an energetic live performance, Kid Simius perfectly balances the best of both worlds on stage.
