This ringing endorsement was found scrawled on the inside of an Austin bathroom stall, and neatly sums up the position The Urban Achievers Brass Band now holds at the forefront of a recently emerging Austin Brass Band scene. For the past 9 months, they've held down a weekly gig at The White Horse, one of Austin's most popular East-side bars, winning over diverse crowds with their unique mix of traditional and contemporary New Orleans brass band music, fused with ten-gallon Texas sensibilities, and an ever-increasing selection of original tunes and creative arrangements of early 90's radio hits.
