He has worked with several legacy artists on copyright transfer termination issues, including the firm’s filing of the nation’s first post-1978 notice of termination. Tim also represents emerging and mid-sized businesses as they develop, market and distribute creative content and technology, such as computer software, video games, and on-line products and services. Tim is a frequent lecturer and author on entertainment and IP issues.

Stan Soocher is the long-time Editor-in-Chief of Entertainment Law & Finance. He is also a tenured Associate Professor of Music & Entertainment Industry Studies at the University of Colorado’s Denver Campus. In addition, Stan is an entertainment attorney and a multi-recipient of ASCAP Deems Taylor Awards for Excellence in Music Journalism. In 2012, he taught the course “American Music Goes to Court” at the International College of Beijing in China, where his book They Fought the Law: Rock Music Goes to Court has been published in a Chinese translation edition by Law Press China.
