Donald Chesnut VP/Creative/Experience Design Practice Lead SapientNitro

Donald is SapientNitro’s Chief Experience officer, the global lead for SapientNitro’s Experience Design practice, and a member of SapientNitro's Global Leadership Team.

Over the course of his nearly two decades as an experience designer, Donald has worked with some of the world’s leading brands, including Disney, Target, HSBC, Wall Street Journal, Bed Bath & Beyond, United Airlines, Citibank, Rolling Stone, Unilever, Hilton International, UBS, Sprint, PetSmart, JetBlue, and Staples.

In addition to leading SapientNitro's Experience Design practice, Donald also leads SapientNitro's Experience Innovation team, a team focused on defining strategies for future-based customer experiences, and the impact that emerging technology will in have in transforming experiences of all types, including retail, financial services, media, and more.

SapientNitro's Idea Engineering teams are credited with designing and delivering ground-breaking and award-winning work such as Unilever's smile-activated ice cream machine, Vail Resort’s EpicMIX, Citibank's Bank of the Future, and Foot Locker's Sneakerpedia.

In Donald’s work, he takes customer-centered thinking and applies it to a wide-variety of business problems, from communications to commerce, and including content, community and digital service design. Donald’s work requires leading a broad range of team members, including strategists, designers, information architects, content strategists, writers, developers and user researchers in the design and development of ground-breaking customer experiences that not only win awards, but also exceed the business goals that have been defined. SapientNitro's Idea Engineering teams are credited with designing and delivering ground-breaking and award-winning work such as Unilever's smile-activated ice cream machine, Citibank's Bank of the Future, and FootLocker's Sneakerpedia.

Many of his projects have been global in nature, and he spent two years working in London helping to build SapientNitro’s presence across Europe.
