Hackathon for Social Good
RSVP Required - Join web and mobile experts in an all day Hackathon for Social Good, an awesome opportunity for programmers, UX practitioners and designers meet to work collaboratively to build programs and applications.
The day will begin with short presentations by educators and non-profit organizations, followed by informational sessions on building sites and web applications to help benefit non-profit organizations.
Prerequisites:
Proficient in design or programming and able to spend the entire day at the Hackathon.
What to Bring:
A WIFI-enabled laptop (Mac or PC) with either design software, project management or programming tools.

Presenters
Brad is the Executive Director of the WebVisions conference. Held in NYC, Chicago, Portland and Barcelona, WebVisions explores the future of web and mobile design, UX, digital media and technology.
He also puts on technology workshops for kids and Hackathons for Social Good in cities around the world, and is a board member and programming co-chair for AIGA Portland.
In his spare time, he is the Creative Director at Hot Pepper Studios, a pretty awesome design studio based in Portland, Oregon.
Jennifer is Event Coordinator and Speaker Wrangler for the WebVisions conference.
Her most recent passion is producing the Hackathon for Social Good (HackathonForSocialGood.org) which partners programmers, developers and designers with nonprofits for a full day of "gettin' stuff done".
Lisa joined the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas in September 2005 as the Advocacy and Online Marketing Manager after serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA there. She now oversees the Food Bank's digital properties, social media and email communication as the Online Marketing Director.
Prior to joining the Food Bank, Lisa provided online marketing expertise for technology companies including HotJobs.com, Comet Systems, Ignite Learning and NaturallyCurly.com. She has an MBA in Marketing from St. Edward's University and a B.A. in Mathematics from Marist College.
Currently, Lisa is on the board of directors for the Sustainable Food Center and sits on the Advisory Council for the Austin Food Bloggers Alliance.
Originally from New York City, Lisa, her three children,and her husband Dr. Fred L. McGhee enjoy relaxing in the 5-star green built custom home they constructed in 2009.
