New for 2013, Meet the Insiders is an opportunity to participate in vital discussions on the innovations and developments in the world of film across varying topics. Moderators will start by introducing and getting to know the Insider for the first 10 minutes, but the next 20 are an open forum where the audience is able to ask questions, discuss trends, connect with the film community, and gain insight and understanding of the industry from the insiders at the forefront of their respective fields.

Join the conversation with moderator Joel Heller, Joel Heller Productions as he talks first with Ryan Werner from IFC Films and then Matt Cowal from Magnolia Pictures and get the chance to ask questions and get answers to the best practices are for marketing your film to ensure that your project is seen and heard.

Ryan Werner is Senior Vice President of Marketing & Publicity at IFC Films where he oversees marketing and publicity for their theatrical and home video releases. Upcoming releases include Noah Baumbach's FRANCES HA starring Greta Gerwig, David Lowery's AINT THEM BODIES SAINTS starring Casey Affleck, Rooney Mara and Ben Foster, Sebastian Silva's CRYSTAL FAIRY starring Michael Cera and Gabby Hoffman and DIRTY WARS, Richard Rowley's documentary about journalist Jeremy Scahill. At IFC, Werner has helped pioneer day & date distribution and worked with some of the worlds leading filmmakers including Werner Herzog, Wim Wenders, Gus Van Sant, Spike Lee, Steven Soderbergh, Todd Solondz, Steve McQueen, The Dardennes Brothers, Olivier Assayas, Mira Nair, Walter Salles and Ken Loach. He's also helped introduce films by new filmmakers such as Mike Birbiglia, Andrew Haigh, Lena Dunham, Joe Swanberg, Barry Jenkins, Adam Leon, Aaron Katz and David Mitchell.

Previously he's worked at Magnolia Pictures, Wellspring, Palm Pictures, Shooting Gallery, Sundance Channel and IFP. He lives in NYC.
