Fireside Chat with Vic Gundotra on Google+
Vic Gundotra will participate in a fireside chat with Guy Kawasaki to discuss the Google+ project. Vic will share how the product has grown since the initial launch, some of the lessons learned and the challenges the Google+ team faced along the way.

Guy Kawasaki is the co-founder of Alltop.com, an “online magazine rack” of popular topics on the web, and a founding partner at Garage Technology Ventures. Previously, he was the chief evangelist of Apple. Kawasaki is the author of eleven books including What the Plus!, Enchantment, Reality Check, The Art of the Start, Rules for Revolutionaries, How to Drive Your Competition Crazy, Selling the Dream, and The Macintosh Way. Kawasaki has a BA from Stanford University and an MBA from UCLA as well as an honorary doctorate from Babson College.
Vic Gundotra is currently a Senior Vice President at Google, heading up the company's social initiatives, including Google+. He joined Google in 2007 as Vice President of Engineering, where he was responsible for mobile application development, including product management and marketing. He also led the company's developer evangelism and application development efforts.
Prior to Google, Vic spent 15 years at Microsoft, where he worked on a variety of products and operating systems, including Windows 3.0, NT, Windows XP, and Vista. He was recognized by MIT as a "Young Innovator under 35" for his work in sparking Microsoft's change from Win32 to the .NET programming model. More recently, Vic was General Manager of Microsoft's developer outreach efforts worldwide, including evangelism and strategy for products like Windows Vista, Visual Studio, Microsoft Office, Microsoft CRM, and Windows Mobile.
Vic holds several patents in the area of distributed computing and identity-based access to cloud resources.
