Baby Doe
As a young woman in a conservative Christian community, Gail gave birth alone and left her newborn in the Ohio woods. Nearly 30 years later, cold case detectives arrested her for murder, dismissing her story that the baby was stillborn. Vilified in the media, and with her quiet suburban life in ruins, Gail turns to her tight-knit family -- husband Mark and three adult children -- for support, even as they struggle themselves to make sense of the charges. Facing a possible life sentence, she works with her attorney, Steven, to prepare her defense. "Baby Doe" explores the fallout when young women cannot accept the reality of an unplanned pregnancy.
