A lonely Gravedigger who stinks of corpses finally finds her dream man, in a flamboyant romantic poet who finds her morbid stench an irresistible turn-on. The two begin a rapturous love affair, marry, and dream of starting a family – but their blooming relationship is cut short when the poet drowns at sea, and all that is recovered is his severed finger. Delirious with grief, the Gravedigger goes to morbid lengths to resurrect him through madcap scientific experiments, resulting in grave consequences and unlikely love.
