Decolonizing Social Media: Combating Native Erasure Through Shitposting

Date TBA

Since 1776, the U.S. government has worked very hard to erase Native American culture and Native people. With the invention of the internet, Native folks are finally able to fight back, get connected and team up to create community, organize and talk trash about our oppressors for all the world to see. In Decolonizing Social Media, Native comedians and television writers discuss, from Standing Rock to Reservation Dogs, how the internet has helped us build audiences, take ownership over our own stories and combat our own attempted erasure through jokes, informative threads and shit posts.
