Fred Schmidt

Fred Schmidt is an Austin, Texas based entrepreneur and a partner at Capital Factory, where he created the Touchdown Austin program for scaling global companies seeking to enter the U.S. market. He is a 40-year veteran of fast-growth tech and entertainment companies in the USA and Europe. Fred emigrated to the U.S. as a Cold War political refugee from Poland as a child. He grew up in Detroit where he worked his way out of factories and graduated with high distinction from Wayne State University.
