We bring together artists who are shaking up the classical scene, taking the genre beyond its history and presenting it in fresh contexts. With an emphasis on collaboration, we see a future where classical music is a regular part of mainstream festivals and conferences worldwide. From the unique sounds of the electric sitar (Bishi) through to classical-inspired songwriting (Caroline Shaw/Ringdown) and genre-defying strings (Vulva Voce), our 2024 showcase shows the innovative ways in which artists are expanding classical music's boundaries. This all-female line-up includes interpretations of Schumann (Tiffany Poon), cross-genre originals and mash-ups (Natalie Tenenbaum) as well as unique Arabic-influenced compositions (The Ayoub Sisters).
