You Can't Eat Here: Addressing Food Insecurity Differently

Mar 10, 2024

11:30am – 12:30pm CT

Hunger impacts more than 34 million people in the US, including 9 million kids. But the way most cities address hunger - food pantries - doesn't work for the families who need it. How are the more than 70% of food insecure families who are employed going to get to a pantry that's open twice a week for a couple of hours during the work day? Miss work or get food? Children of Bellevue is changing that for families who need healthy food the most - families with children receiving care at NYC's largest public hospital. We changed the antiquated model, added services, and focused on accessibility.
