Permission to Laugh: Using Comedy as a Force for Good (Live Comedy Event)

Mar 10, 2024

4:00pm – 5:15pm CT

Laughter has the power to spark joy, inspire hope and bring unity around common goals. And let’s be honest, we could use a little more of it right now. Join Comic Relief US, a nonprofit that harnesses the power of entertainment to drive positive social change, for a special event on the role of comedy as a light in uncertain times. Through a stand-up performance from comedian and host Tone Bell and a candid discussion with comedian and author of the upcoming memoir Joyful Recollections of Trauma Paul Scheer and “The Daily Show” correspondent and comedian Dulcé Sloan, this event will explore how humor can confront difficult truths and challenge the status quo – if we give ourselves permission to laugh.
