Deirdre Walsh

@deirdrewalsh is an award-winning marketer with 15+ years experience in leadership roles at technology companies. Currently, she is the director of corporate marketing at Silicon Labs, which provides energy-friendly silicon and software for the Internet of Things.

Deirdre works hard to improve STEM education for traditionally underserved youth communities in Austin, including minorities, girls, and LGBTQs. She is also actively involved in public policy, regularly lobbying against discriminatory legislation and fighting for religious freedom. Her meaningful contributions earned her a spot as a White House LGBTQ Tech & Innovation Fellow.

From hackathons to IPOs, Deirdre is actively involved in the tech community. She has been published in The Wall Street Journal and a keynote speaker at The Federal Reserve.

Deirdre graduated with a B.S. in PR and minors in business and English from The University of Texas. She and her wife Emilie are proud Hyde Park residents who love chatting about travel, labradoodles, live music and football over a craft cocktail. Her superpower is finding the perfect .gif for any situation.
