Stacy Shutts

Program Specialist for Sustainability
NASA

Stacy came into her current position from a varied conservation background, beginning in Paraguay as a Peace Corps Volunteer. She delved into the community structure and rural politics which help and sometimes hinder neighborhood groups to succeed in environmental and social projects. From there she moved to Juneau and sea-planed, boated, and trekked from one island to another contributing to field research for the Southeast Alaska Land Trust. Now at NASA, Stacy promotes sustainable development of the Johnson Space Center through articles about infrastructure projects and individual efforts onsite. She also facilitates teams and events in order that colleagues will innovate towards sustainability at NASA.
