John Paulos

John Paulos, Ph.D. is a former semiconductor executive, now a consultant and active angel investor with start-up investments in more than 30 companies including 15 companies which he has served as a Board member. He was a Director for the Central Texas Angel Network from 2011 through 2015. Dr. Paulos has a technical background in analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits, particularly audio and wire-line communications and has significant business experience in semiconductors, industrial instrumentation, medical devices and musical instruments.

Prior to 2008, Dr. Paulos was Senior Vice President and Division General Manager for Cirrus Logic. Earlier in his career he was on the faculty of North Carolina State University. He earned B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1979, 1980 and 1984, respectively.
