Dr. Lisa Pecot-Hébert is a lecturer in Broadcast and Multimedia Journalism at the University of Southern California. Prior to USC, Pecot-Hébert spent nine years at DePaul University in Chicago as an Assistant Professor of Journalism. She also taught for four years at Xavier University in New Orleans.
Pecot-Hébert has been a staff writer at the Dallas Morning News, The New Orleans Tribune and examiner.com.
Lisa holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Science from the University of California, Berkeley, a master’s degree from American University in Broadcast Journalism and Public Affairs, and a doctorate degree from the University of Georgia, Grady College of Journalism and Communication. She also holds a graduate certificate in Women and Gender Studies from the University of Georgia and a Diversity certificate from DePaul University.
In 2015, Pecot-Hébert won the Gender and Sexuality Division top paper award at the 60th annual Broadcast Educators Association Conference.
