Jason Rzepka

Founding Dir of Cultural Engagement
Everytown for Gun Safety

Jason has dedicated his career to finding new ways to accelerate change on our most pressing social challenges. In his role at SYPartners, he partners with leading change makers to design programs that can achieve impact at billion-person scale.

Prior to joining SYPartners, Jason founded the cultural practice at Everytown for Gun Safety, a movement of more than 3 million Americans working to end gun violence. In that role, he developed and led Everytown’s cultural strategy, created the Wear Orange campaign—which helped establish orange as the symbol for the gun safety movement—and partnered with Academy Award-winning actress Julianne Moore to build the Everytown Creative Council.

Before Everytown, Jason spent nearly a decade at MTV, rising to the role of SVP, public affairs & brand communications. His principal charge was to “use MTV’s superpowers for good,” activating America’s youth on the biggest challenges facing their generation. Earlier in his career, Jason led communications at PopTech and IMAX.

Jason has been a featured speaker at the White House, United Nations and South by Southwest, plus appeared on/in NPR, CNN, the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. He serves on the advisory boards of Crisis Text Line, MTV’s Look Different campaign and the Campaign for a Presidential Youth Council. Jason’s enduring loves include hip hop culture, Chicago sports, small batch whiskeys and his girls, Ania and Ella.
