Toygun Yilmazer

As the Chief Strategy Officer at TBWA Group Istanbul, Toygun Yılmazer is responsible for the brand and communication strategies for all the agency's clients. He is also the founder and the manager of TBWA’s consultancy practice, Disruption Consultancy.

Throughout his 23-year career, he played a crucial part in elevating TBWA\Istanbul to the top spot of being the largest and most awarded agency in Turkey. He is the proud leader of a team that won 80 Effies including 21 golds. Toygun was awarded Strategic Planning Leader of the Year in Campaign's Global Agency of the Year Awards 2022, with bronze.

He presented "Advertising for Good, What Is It Good For?" at SXSW 2017, later refining the concept into a Spring 2019 Journal of Brand Strategy article of the same name.

Toygun has a deep understanding of the impact of artificial intelligence on advertising. He has shared his expertise through articles, agency trainings, and industry talks since 2017. In 2022, he began to focus more specifically on generative AI platforms, and he will present his work on this topic at SXSW 2024.
