Farzad Azimpour MD

Farzad Azimpour, MD serves as Director of Health at IDEO Palo Alto.

He completed his clinical training in medicine and cardiology at The Cleveland Clinic, The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and The University of Minnesota's Lillehei Heart Institute. He served as Chief Cardiology Fellow and was awarded a T32 post-doctoral research grant under the NIH for advanced cardiovascular technologies, then served as the St. Jude Medical and Dean's Fellow at Stanford University's Biodesign Program where he continues to advise U.S. and Japan-based fellows.

Farzad holds a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from The University of Texas at Austin (Phi Beta Kappa Society), and an MD from The University of Texas Medical Branch (Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine Award).
