Suzanne Rose is a senior producer in the Children’s & Educational Media Department at THIRTEEN/WNET, the flagship PBS station in New York. She has worked on a wide range of projects including Films BYkids, a partnership between WNET and the non-profit organization, BYkids that brings the voice of young filmmakers to wider audiences through public media. Films BYkids pairs renowned filmmakers with teenagers from around the world to create short personal documentaries about globally relevant issues. Other projects include the 13-part series, Art Through Time: A Global View, What’s Up, a series focusing on career choices, Leadership in Action, a series showcasing school principals, Ethical Choices, a series for teens modeled on the Fred Friendly Seminars, The Expanding Canon, an 8-part series for educators about multicultural literature, and numerous professional development series focused on math and science. Projects aimed at younger audiences include Thomas & Friends, Bob the Builder, Cyberchase, Oh Noah!, Franny’s Feet, and Angelina Ballerina: The Next Steps. Suzanne has received two Emmy Awards, among other honors.
