Christian Sandvig is Professor of Information at the University of Michigan. His research investigates the implications of advanced computing and Internet technology. Sandvig has been named a "next-generation leader in science and technology policy" by the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and received the faculty early career award in "human-centered computing" from the US National Science Foundation. His research has appeared in stories in/on The Economist, Wired, The New York Times, NPR, BBC, CBC, Le Monde, and other venues. Sandvig is also a computer programmer with industry experience consulting for Fortune 500 companies, a regional government, and a software start-up. He holds the Ph.D. in Communication from Stanford University.
