Cyna Alderman is a senior executive team member valued for conceptualizing and implementing corporate development initiatives and legal partnership opportunities, creating innovative solutions for success.
In 2013, Cyna successfully launched the New York Daily News’s Innovation Lab, a program with a mission to transform media together. The Innovation Lab offers early-stage startups the opportunity to collaborate with the Daily News on projects that address media industry needs. The Innovation Lab also hosts Conversations, a bi-monthly event series that brings together members of the tech and business communities to discuss the changing media landscape.
Cyna also served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of the Daily News from 2007 - 2017, appointed after working for the Daily News and its affiliated companies in positions of increasing responsibility since 2001.
In 2017, Cyna will be transitioning to the role of General Counsel and Senior Vice President, Business Management at the private office of a Silicon Valley tech family, focusing on their start-up investments and charitable foundation. Cyna will be moving to the Bay Area in April.
Prior to joining the Daily News, Cyna was a corporate associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett specializing in mergers & acquisitions and securities. Cyna is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and New York University Law School.
