The Mill

Carl Addy is Creative Director for Mill+, an integrated team of directors and designers focused on creative partnerships; delivering groundbreaking work in design, digital media and emerging technology. Since joining The Mill in 2010, Carl has helped to grow the design team from a small motion graphics department into an award-winning studio. He has also been instrumental in the creation of Mill+. His most notable highlight of 2016 was creatively directing the Guardian’s VR experience ‘6x9’; which raised awareness for solitary confinement. Debuting at Sundance and Tribeca Film Festivals, it then went on to be selected for ‘The New York Times: Top 10 Film Picks of 2016’. During his career, Carl has won advertising, design and direction awards and is frequently invited to speak at creative conferences around the world. His recent keynote talks include; Promax Sydney, Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, FITC, Semi Permanent and OFFF. Outside of his role at The Mill Carl is an illustrator, musician and is currently working on a handmade jewellery range called ‘Cavities.’
