Dr. Vineet Arora’s work in medical education has resulted in over 100 peer reviewed publications, numerous national awards, federal and foundation grants, and media coverage by the New York Times, CNN, and the Associated Press. As Assistant Dean of Scholarship & Discovery at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, she mentors countless students in scholarly work in high value care. As Director of GME Clinical Learning Environment Innovation, she works with hospital leaders to integrate residents and fellows into the quality, safety and value mission. She has extensive expertise in using technology such as social media to improve the workplace learning in teaching hospitals. Her educational videos on handoffs, supervision, professionalism and costs of care have been used by numerous educators around the country and have been featured on NPR and in the New York Times. She was recognized as one of "20 People Who Make Healthcare Better" by HealthLeaders Magazine in 2011.
