Based on a true story, "American Paradise" is a story of desperation and disguise. Featuring characters from the upcoming Sundance-supported feature, "The Last Black Man in San Francisco."

Joe Talbot is a San Francisco native whose emerging body of work has been hailed by Guy Maddin as "gorgeous, powerful and moving." He received a fellowship to the Sundance Institute’s Screenwriters Lab with his debut feature, "The Last Black Man in San Francisco," and was recently profiled Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces of Independent Film.
