Director Bio

Juan Pablo González is an emerging Mexican filmmaker whose documentary, narrative, and experimental work explores the transformation of rural Mexico, and how old ways intersect with contemporary life. One of the Filmmaker Magazine’s “25 New Faces of Independent Film” in 2015, his films have played at IDFA, Cannes, Slamdance, SXSW, among others.
