Over my career in technology I have fallen into the trap of complacency and became a "professional Dinosaur" four times. I was trapped—all for good reasons—in careers that dead-ended in a few short years. In my talk, I'll share how the act of introspection led to clarity and eventually reinvention, and review the nascent skill sets that aren't taught in school: tacit skills that demonstrate what you can do. There are practical approaches to reinvention, and a pre-mortem, pro-active approach to "future-proofing" your career.
