Queer Voices On and Off Screen

It’s a unique time for LGBTQ storytelling. In recent years, we’ve seen an exponential growth in the number and prominence of queer characters and stories. Some LGBTQ filmmakers want to make films where sexuality and gender identity are incidental to the story, while others want our work to capture the daily realities of LGBTQ identity and the inequalities and violence we're experiencing at this time. Join indie documentary and narrative filmmakers as they grapple with the stories their films should tell, and explore the ways that filmmakers can ensure LGBTQ perspectives are reflected both in front of and behind the camera.
