Myth Busters: The Not-So-Broken Pipeline

The "broken pipeline" has been used as a scapegoat when addressing the lack of diversity in the tech industry. People are quick to point to the skills gap in underrepresented candidates, when data shows that there are more Black and Hispanic & Latino students graduating in computer science and engineering than those employed in tech, not to mention opportunities in non-technical areas. The session will focus on partnership strategies that direct both technical and non-technical pipelines to the tech industry and how there's much more to ensuring an inclusive culture where underrepresented candidates, and employees, will thrive.
