Inspiring Global Change Through Women’s Stories

Women and girls around the world face formidable challenges. Just two of the grim statistics: 130 million girls don't attend school, and 300,000 women die each year during childbirth. How do you tackle such big problems? ConnectHer, a platform working to elevate the status of women and girls globally, has found a powerful way: Support local women leaders, and listen to the voices of women and girls. Moderated by ConnectHer founder Lila Igram, this dynamic panel includes people like Nobel Prize nominee Sakena Yacoobi, an Afghan educator, and Libyan activist Alaa Murabit, a Newsweek’s "25 Women Under 25 to Watch." They’ll talk about the power of women telling their stories.
