How Digital Identity is Enabling Access to the VA
Veterans have enough issues to face as they transition to civilian life. Easy access to their benefits shouldn't be one of them. Yet, at the beginning of 2016, the VA had over 500 Veteran facing websites and a fragmented authentication experience that frustrated many Veterans. To improve the user experience, the VA launched Vets.gov, a single, digital front door to VA with a unified Single Sign On experience across integrated VA apps and services. Hear the CTO of the VA, a former Army Ranger turned tech entrepreneur, and one of the Presidential Innovation Fellows who saved Healthcare.gov explain Vets.gov and explore how other agencies can replicate it.
